About Us
In 1953, Clarence Simmons, the owner of a small machine shop in West Texas, partnered with entrepreneurial visionary Raymond Pickering. Both Clarence and Raymond were well versed in the machine industry and saw the need for water well pumps in the South and High Plains regions due to the agricultural demand and unforgiving climate. Thus was the inception of Simmons Pump and Machine Company. Their goal was to produce the highest quality pumps offered in the industry coupled with superior customer service. By committing to these goals, Simmons set a standard for quality within the industry, which still stands to this day, 66 years later.
